What is Well Read?

Welcome to Well Read!

Well Read is a site with resources to help teach you the Bible, why you should read it, and how to read it.

You may have a few questions:

Why this rebrand?

What's the purpose of Well Read?

What's new?

This post will hopefully answer all of your questions!

Why this rebrand?

Towards the end of 2022, the Lord put an idea on mine and Isaac, my husband's, hearts: an idea to use both of our unique gifts, talents, and personalities to teach people the Bible.

God put it on my heart to start my blog when I was 17. At 17, I had a heart for the Word of God and natural, God-given writing ability. God used the blog in ways I never could've imagined when I started a website as a teenager, but I believe He has more for this blog now. I believe He wants me to go deeper with my writing and teaching and hopefully reach even more people with the Gospel of Jesus!

I also have a VERY talented husband, and because of what he brings to the table, I can do things with Well Read that I only dreamed about as a teenager, like a podcast and teaching videos.

What's the purpose?

The purpose of Well Read is to teach you the Bible, why you should read it, and how to read it. The sad reality is many people in the American church today have the Word of God sitting on their coffee tables but don't have it written on their hearts.

We want to help change that! The Word of God, the Bible, has changed my life, and I know it will do the same for you.

What's new?

The name is probably the most obvious change. The name simply means this: we want YOU to be well read in the Scriptures.

Also, we will be offering new types of content: podcasts, teaching videos, and other fun creative projects coming soon!

On the Well Read podcast, you'll find me and other guests talking about different verses and passages of Scripture together, breaking them down, talking through them, and providing practical application to YOUR life. We know that we are supposed to be doers of the Word, not just hearers. We want to help you read the Word and apply it to your life so that you can be a "doer" of the Word!

Another big change is that Isaac and I will both have roles in Well Read. Isaac will be Well Read's videographer (and will have a HUGE hand in the creative projects coming soon from Well Read), and he also designed our site. You'll see him on the podcast periodically and read some blogs from him here and there, like you have in the past.

I will write, teach, and be the host of the podcast.

Well, readers, if you've been here for awhile, THANK YOU!

Every click, share, and prayer has been pivotal in getting to this point, and I appreciate it so much. I humbly ask that you keep up with us here at Well Read and join us in prayer that this site will teach people the Bible and reach people with the Gospel!

That's what it's all about: bringing glory to God and bringing people to Him.
