Led by the Spirit

Updated: Jun 20, 2020

Are you living a life that is led by the Holy Spirit? Do you worship in Spirit and in truth unashamed? If our faith in Jesus is not causing us to allow the Holy Spirit to work through us and in us, is it really that strong of a faith? It is time that we believers of Christ start really tuning into His voice and His presence.

This past Sunday at church was something special. God moved in mighty ways: shouts of praise, hands lifted, and so much love. One thing I have noticed about church services that are filled with the Spirit is that not only do we express our love for God, but we also express our love for each other. Suddenly, it is not like we are just people who see each other on Sunday's; we are truly a family and just some brothers and sisters spending time with their Heavenly Daddy.

Maybe, the Spirit simply tells you to go hug someone or offer a word of encouragement. Do that! You may not be jumping or shouting or raising your hands, but it is still a form of worshiping God to love your fellow man. It's all about obedience, and when we are obedient to the call of the Spirit, we are blessed and so are those around us.

I have realized that as soon as the Holy Spirit comes, literally nothing else matters, and that is exactly how it should be. With my eyes fixed on the Lord, it is literally impossible for me to not get excited. It may be that you are more of a quiet person, and you do not get too involved with worship because you do not want to draw attention to yourself. I promise you that as soon as you lay that pride aside and realize that worship is and always will be about Jesus, you will experience His presence in a way you never have before.

Once you enter His holy presence, you will not care who is looking or what people think. This past Sunday, I stood at the front of the church with both of my arms raised unashamed, and it was one of the best moments ever. It was an act of surrender. It was an act of praise and adoration. It was as if I was saying, "Every bit of me is Yours, Lord. I'm Yours." The Holy Spirit filled my heart, and it was like it was just me and God in the room.

Whatever the Lord tells you to do, listen. Your obedience will be rewarded. Lift your voice and raise those hands to Heaven. The Holy Spirit is active in our daily lives, so let's heed to His voice.
