A Call to Witness

Updated: Jun 20, 2020

I have talked about finding your calling and your purpose on my blog multiple times. I was reminded this week that we ALL have a call to witness to others and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While God gives us specific gifts and callings, the one we all share is the command to tell others what we have in Him.

I think we sometimes get lost in our Christian bubbles. We tend to think everyone we know has heard about Jesus, been raised in a Christian home, and has been to church. This is just simply not the case. More people than you would think do not even know the basics of the Bible. If we do not bring the message to these people, then who will?

Just like Matthew West asks in one of his songs, "If not us, then who?" It is such a valid question. Sometimes we even pray and ask God to bring someone to us who needs to hear the Gospel without even realizing we are around lost people every single day. We walk past them at school or work, but we do it blindly. Especially those of us still in school, we are in an amazing place to witness. So many of our classmates and coworkers are lost in their sin, and they need the good news of Jesus more than anybody.

Be bold in your faith. Share your testimony. Proclaim the truths found in the Word of God. What if no one told you about the Lord? Lost people need someone to show them the way, and that someone is you. If you are one of these people who are lost and have read my blog and feel that God is knocking on the door of your heart, ask Him to come in and forgive you of your sins. He will give you a new life, the best life: filled with love, peace, and joy. He will give you an eternity in Heaven as well. It is the best decision you will ever make, I promise you that.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto the nations; and then shall the end come." -Matthew 24:14 KJV

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" -Matthew 28:18 KJV

"Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people." Psalm 96:3 KJV
